How to properly care for fresh concrete

🧱 To ensure your concrete gains strength and lasts for years, follow these basic after-pour care rules:
🔹 Limit Access
Avoid walking on or placing anything on the surface for at least 24–48 hours.
🔹 Keep It Moist
Concrete must stay moist for the first 7 days. Spray it with water regularly or cover with plastic or wet fabric to prevent drying out.
🔹 Consider the Weather
— In hot weather: water more frequently and provide shade if possible.
— In rain: cover the surface with plastic sheeting.
— In cold temperatures: insulate the concrete to prevent freezing.
🔹 Avoid Any Load
Do not place vehicles, equipment, or heavy objects on the surface
🔹 Protect the Surface
Avoid dragging objects, placing sharp tools, or exposing the surface to chemicals or salt during the first month.
🔹 Inspect Regularly
Monitor for early signs of cracking or surface issues. Early detection allows for timely repairs if needed.
